Book Overview

A wonderful blend of Temple typology and the Fulfilled Eschatology view It is clear to me that the Lord's promises of the Kingdom of Heaven, and the New Heavens and Earth are neither far off nor perpetually 'soon'. These promises are present and immediately available to anyone born of God's Spirit. I later discovered that this understanding was not unique to me but shared by the ' fulfilled eschatology' community. This view was also called 'covenant eschatology' and 'full preterism.' However, when I saw these things in the scriptures, I had never heard of these theological terms. I simply would say, "I believe that Jesus has kept and fulfilled all the promises he made to the generation of Israel to whom he was sent, in their generation as he had promised." Secondly, I gradually became aware of the temple context in which the scriptures were written. Things began to fall in place as I sought authors who had researched this field. I could see the temple context of creation, Adam, the people of God, and even Christ. Finally, I could see the beautiful interweaving of the two concepts - fulfilled eschatology and temple typology. This led me to exclaim, "Everything is Temple!" Once I saw that the Lord had kept his covenant promises and obligations to old covenant Israel, I began asking him to show me how these exceedingly great and precious promises had come to pass. More importantly, I asked him to show me how to benefit from these wonderful, fulfilled promises. I was able to see what Jesus and the apostles taught concerning the New Heavens and Earth, the Kingdom of Heaven, and the Temple in Heaven, and how, indeed, these things had been impending in the apostles' time and would be fulfilled in their generation, just as they had said. This realisation, as far-fetched as it may seem to some, was not based on anything other than following a solid Bible hermeneutic. Indeed, as Jesus said, I had to be born again (from above) to see the Kingdom of Heaven, and the New Heavens and Earth. I began to read the scriptures from the perspective of Jesus and his apostles and view their teachings from their eyes. That is when I started indeed to 'see' the Kingdom of Heaven, and be able to 'enter' it. This book will help you see that the promises and events that most Christians look forward to occurring in the future have already come to pass. Not only that but even more importantly, we can benefit right now by entering through the doors that their fulfilment has opened. Everything is Temple! More and more of God's people are coming into the fulfilled view, and this book takes it a quantum leap further, by incorporating temple typology. You may have heard of the new Adam and the new Creation, but have you linked them to the new Creature in Christ? Can there be new creatures in Christ, without an existing new Creation?
