Two Mysteries

Jaye Maiman delivers yet another edge-of-the-seat mystery, keeping me guessing all the way to the end. I'm not talking about the whodunnit part of the book either. As intensely portrayed is the turning point that RObin and KT have reached -- it's settle down or break apart time. It's make a family nest or go their separate ways. I did not know until the very last page what Robin would decide. Robin's doubts and suffering are heartbreaking, as is KT's confusion and helplessness. It made the mystery emotionally rich, which is a rare treat in most mystery novels. The whodunnit part of the books is as enjoyable as always with Maiman, who just gets better with fast-paced action plots. I recommend this one 100%.

Fast-Paced Thriller!

Here's another fast-paced, thrilling entry in the Robin Miller series. Maiman's style gets crisper with each new entry. Here, Maiman chose to really focus on Robin and K.T.'s relationship, of course there's no shortage of action but clearly Maiman is letting her characters mature and reflect more than in her earlier work. I highly recommend this book, especially since Jaye was kind enough to publish one of my poems in this entry! I love you Jaye!

Another EXCELLENT Read...

I anxiously await the release of the next in the Robin Miller series and have yet to be disappointed! Maiman is a storyteller of the highest order...able to incorporate romance with mystery...humor with drama. All the elements of good lesbian fiction! =) This particular book caught my attention, not only because of the usual good story, but because of the fact that Robin is growing up. I've watched her stuggle with her demons and responsibilities (she's run from more than her share) from the first book in this series. It's nice to see her trying to "settle down" and become an adult...to work through her problems instead of always running away. The plot centers around my favorite KT, Robin and a mystery case that twists and turns so much it keeps you guessing until the very last page. I would highly recommend this book (as well as all the others in this series) to anyone interested in lesbian fiction in general. And to Jaye Maiman...keep them coming! I can hardly wait for the next one...

Another great installment in the Robin Miller series.

Maiman is one of my favorite writers. She balances the personal/romance element of her novels well with the mystery element. The Robin Miller character is so likeable. She's struggling to become a better person as she recognizes what could hold her back. One suggestion: give us more KT! With each novel, I want to know more about what's going on in her head. Wouldn't that be a great spin on the next novel if it were written first person from KT's standpoint! I just hope Maiman and this series survive the selling of Naiad Press.

A GREAT READ WELL WORTH THE WAIT.

I HAVE READ ALL THE ROBIN MILLER MYSTERIES AND IT IS GREAT TO SEE ROBIN FINALLY CONQUERING HER DEMONS AND GETTING ON WITH HER LIFE. THIS IS A SERIES WHERE THE CHARACTER GROWS WITH EACH BOOK AND IS ALWAYS ENGROSSING. I HOPE JAYE MAIMAN CONTINUES TO WRITE THIS SERIES. I WILL NEVER TIRE OF ROBIN AND K.T.
