I'm Still Waiting

The title of this book is so wrong. This is one Sistah that does not want what the author is putting down. This book is so misleading because from the title, I thought I would get an exciting, good read but again I was proven wrong. This story about the antics at a black radio station is nothing but cheap elementary pranks and nonsense that you would expect from a Junior High school kid. There does not seem to be validity or true imagination that you would gain from this nonsense. I see that he borrowed characters from one of his other novels. The best and only interesting thing about this was the relationship between Legacy and Octavia. Both Octavia and Cee Cee Lovely appeared to be too loose and unbelievable as radio personalities. I truly did want Legacy to leave Octavia after he found out her truth but of course this did not happen. This author has been praised but I am still waiting for him to hit a homerun. He seems to get to first base and makes no progress and I'm still waiting for the home run that never happened.

Thank You!

This book has the right title and told the truth about what every sista wants! Thanks for another great story and for giving avid readers like myself true to life accounts of stories that we can all relate to! This is a must read for all! Believe me, you won't be disappointed!

Preach!

You got that right! Many of us, both men and women sometimes move too fast and settle instead of waiting for that special someone. Sistah's and Brotha's, don't settle for less! I've enjoyed reading Every Sistah Wants It, not once but twice and each time I've fallen in love with Legacy Child's character. Who could ask for more from one man. I have never had so much fun reading a book! This book keeps you smiling and laughing with it's collection of comical characters. All of us know or have run across some of these characters in our lifetime. If you like a lil drama, romance, comedy....you got it in Every Sistah Wants It. Enjoy! All the best to you Victor. Keep'em coming!

Every Sistah

If you have one thing to do in 2005, read Victor McGlothlin's "Every Sistah Wants It." Ladies or gents when you pick it up there will be no reason to put it down. Feathers were flying from the beginning; there was love, tenderness and comedy in between; and a surprise ending. Everything was happening so fast all I wanted to do was keep the pages turning. My sister read it not once, but twice. I was in love with Legacy from the start and he never let me down. It was so easy to get into his character and the way Victor MGlothlin molded him. You know how you read a book and you see neighbohood people that remind you of them, well Ms. Cora reminded me of a lady I once knew. She would clown anybody. I was laughing so hard. You just have to read the book for yourselves. From beginning to end the story was captivating and you never knew what love triangle was going to happen next. I can't wait until the next book comes out. My best to the author, Victor McGlothlin. Keep printing them and I'll keep reading. Mr. McGlothlin has a great perspective of a woman's feelings as he writes for Cee Cee, Octavia, Truest and the others. He also comes for real with the brothas side of things too. At Last.... he came up with the one thing every sistah wants, and you can't argue with the truth. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

This is it.

This book touches on the problems sistah's are facing with men today. Victor's characters in this book are the different type of men we are continually dealing with. He clearly shows the factors which set the direction for the relationships. But, there's hope for us all because Victor, tells the brothas the answer to every womans heart. All they have to do is apply it and we can work out the details later. I have already recommended this book to friends and have purchased it for a Christmas present. Frances Latimer

Ain't this the truth

Very good, excellent read. Read it in 24 hrs and as expected I was not disappointed. It was good to see Legacy, Marshall and Jasmine return and see how their lives have evolved, although the focus (of the previous characters) was on Legacy and his relationship with Octavia. I felt like maybe you were speaking to me when you wrote this book. So much of how I viewed men and what I "thought " I wanted in a man was so similar to Cece's views and what the man should have materialistically or in relation to education. I could also relate the issues regarding women who have married someone and have settled for the "compensating factors", but is that really enough? Should they hold out for true love, and when it hits them, how do they know? Then possibly meeting someone whom they think is their complete "soul mate" but are shackled to the man they settled for. Personally, I do realize the material is trivial, because the material things you obtain while being here are not what you are remembered for, nor does it define who you are. Now this issue with what women want...I'd have to agree with you on it (you must have spoken to a lot of women during your research for the book). Reciprocity. Interesting, but true. We just want a man who will give push for push, what we are giving in the relationship. Well done...you have definitely read me, if not many women out there. Now this mess with Truest...she was trifling, but she definitely made the book interesting and there are women like her out there. Other women beware and keep a firm hold on your man. In the mix of her doing wrong, and have done wrong to so many others...she ended up being the victim of the heartache she had bestowed on so many other women before. What goes around definitely comes back around. Lastly, Octavia...she was crazy (my favorite character for this novel) and she had a big decision to make. Stay with the old and pray / hope that things will eventually work out the way she'd always wished they would. Or attempt something new with Legacy, she made the right decision. If after years a man doesn't change his stripes, why would we think he would now? Let go of the same old, same old...even if there is no one to move on to, move on alone. You'll be better after doing it. Such an insightful and thought provoking book. You'll having me reeling for weeks and I thank you... Sincerely A Loyal Fan,
