Deep and specific prayers which lead to raw authenticity

This book was a gift to me. I grew up in a liturgical denomination, but have been in non-denominational Protestant for 30+ years which does not ascribe to repetitive prayers. However, the deep and extremely specific prayers have changed my prayer life. This book highlights how Christ is Lord of every part of life from cleaning house, to your means of livelihood to gardening and morning coffee- every minute of every hour is a gift. One particular prayer is a photo on my phone because it is a sin I struggle with: Liturgy for a Fleeting Irritation. to not show disdain for others, judging them with a less generous measure by which i judge myself. OUCH, but true. The topics are too vast and remarkable to list: for sleeping in a tent, enjoying a bonfire, the death of a dream.
