The essential job is to preach God's Word, telling people simply and plainly what God says about His Son Jesus Christ and what He has done for mankind. This is done with haste because the souls of individuals are at risk. Evangelism are not to only inform people about the Bible. They are to declare Jesus and preach His message of salvation.

In the days before email, Western Union telegrams were the most efficient means to transmit urgent communication. The messenger's primary job was to convey the message to the person to whom it was directed. He may not relish delivering it if the message conveyed terrible news, but he was devoted to giving it. He dared not stop along the way, open the package and modify the message. His responsibility was to convey the message. This is the responsibility of the evangelist. God has delivered the message and the evangelist has to be true to every word.

The evangelist's efficacy rests on the clear and authoritative preaching of the Gospel from Scripture. And this kingdom work is not only limited to office of an evangelist, but to all Christians, believer of Jesus Christ. "God said" and "Jesus spoke" are the authority; not, "I think" "we believe", or "our church teaches." God's Word alone is the authority and it is more strong than human personality or natural speaking talent.

The Bible is constantly alive, dynamic, and relevant (Hebrews 4:12). Evangelism are the most important on earth and it is not for a vocation simply for the clergy, believers, Christians. Evangelism must be seen as a formidable army work, spreading out over the globe with a desire to reach souls for Christ.
