English summary: Since the middle of the 18th century, church history has been a part of religious education. Through a historical analysis of over 350 Protestant religious schoolbooks and didactical conceptions, the development of didactics of church history from 1770 to 2020 is presented and summarized in three main didactical types. The description casts a new light on the history of Protestant religious education in the last centuries. In the second part of the study, the validity of the typologies is systematically tested and a practical didactic conception (as a competence model) is proposed.
