Abstract: Recent developments have been showing obvious changes in education due to e-learning. Electronically supported learning leads to traditional education paradigms being changed in both, training and further education. The present thesis paper outlines recommendations in terms of a potential introduction of an e-learning system at the Department of Economics of Martin-Luther-University Halle / Wittenberg. In other words, concerning the Department of Economics, will investigate on the usage of e-learning systems in various settings and the demands set from an optimal approach.
