This work is aimed at students and/or researchers who conduct research on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) with an emphasis on simulators and testbeds. The research covered in this paper aimed to analyze the reliability of the Castalia simulation tool, based on an experiment involving a testbed, with regard to the direct communication protocol, CSMA/CA Unslotted, and the clustering protocol, LEACH. Before discussing the experiment, a literature review is presented.
