A Fascinating Read

Tiersky's Europe Today: National Politics, European Integration, and European Security might well be considered the twenty-first century continuance of Barzini's The Europeans. A thought provoking book that adds further insight into what Europe became as of 2004 and what it still tends to reflect in the present day. A definite read for those interested in the world stage and the European Union's importance in it.

This is the best single new text on Europe. It covers domestic politics, European integration and European security issues. The authors are not all academics. The writing is accessible and works at all levels.
