Eularia Clarke: Painter of Religion

When Eularia Clarke died in 1970 she left behind over ninety canvasses fulfilling a life-long calling to be a religious artist. Inspired to express the Gospel living in our daily lives and the world around us she set them in the modern world. She left behind not only her paintings but the story of their conception and creation revealing a very human struggle to balance the spiritual with daily life at a time when the Catholic Church was undergoing seismic change during the 1960s. Clarke rarely agreed to sell her work and on her death the collection was hidden away by her family for over 40 years. This is the story of an ordinary woman and artist inspired by God, and the paintings she produced.
