Like most college students during the COVID-19 pandemic, Charity Williams found herself thrown into the chaos and struggles of home quarantine, virtual classes, and having to be careful of social distancing guidelines. Unlike most college students, she was born in 1751. Charity is part of an organization started in the early 2060s that is dedicated to protecting the timeline from temporal interference; specifically an event that sent the world into an apocalypse sometime a few years before the creation of their group. Using people from history who could live through time and more easily recognize outside interference from time travelers, their mission is to reach the date of the disaster and prevent it from happening. Told from the perspective of the team working to stop the disaster, the man unwittingly behind it, and the people working to keep the apocalypse in place, it is a tale of action, suspense, and an unlikely romance.
