The best surgery text for med students available

I was put to an awe by the high-quality illustrations and the down-to-the-point explanations. One can really expect nothing more than this. The authors managed the distill the must-know facts out of the enormous body of surgical knowledge without compromising comprehensibility. Most of the pictures are original, and in the rare cases that they are adapted from another source, they are in an impressive coherence to the text. Management of diseases is discussed in an evidence-based manner and evokes latest data from clinical trials. The online video bank of common surgical procedures is a plus to a visual understanding of different treatment modalities. In summary, this is the best entry level text for surgery.
