Good for vocabulary building

I purchased this for my 9th grade daughter. This book seems to be good for building up vocabulary although it can be used as a dictionary. I also purchased Sharp elctronic dictionary. She uses either one on her convenience. She liked the etymologogy of words explained in a different color, and also liked the highlights that tell her the importance of the words.
