The poetry here is an opportunity to listen to the crashing of the waves into rocks, the extinct light of an also extinct lighthouse and the couple's conversation in the folds of the wind. In this long poem, the author seeks to convert the intangible to the palpable, the tasteless to the exquisite, the experience into memory.
