My husband and I really took Frishberg's advice to heart. We've started our research and are formulating an investment plan. We really haven't made any money in the large mutualfunds that we don't know anything about. It's like a weight we didn't know was there has been lifted from our chests. Now, we really are involved in our investments.

An unusual approach to investment psychology

After getting into the book, I realized Dan Frishberg used an unusual analogy of a massage therapist as the average investor who needs mentoring through a maze of investment overload in the media. He says that what you hear on major media is the wrong direction--it's actually the opposite! Hence, "Escape from the Herd." It's very cleverly written, and an interesting read.

An easy read with useful ideas

I am not very well versed in the investing world and I have little time to spend worrying about my equity investments. This book provides a useful and independent perspective on the subject from what I found to be an objective point of view. The format was interesting and made me feel less like I was taking a course in Finance and Investing 101. I feel like I am better armed to make my own investing decisions for having heard Mr. Frishberg's advice.

great book

We are a struggling family with only a few assets tied up in big funds that we know nothing about. I loved reading this book and I could really relate to the Franny character. I don't have a lot of time to do the financial research he suggests but I realize that I can definitely make more money if I put some time and attention into it. We gave the book to our teenagers to read. Very good

Great advice; interesting read

This book proved to be incredibly helpful to me as a new female investor. I have been looking for some sort of clear, unbiased advice for a long time and I found it with this book. Also, the character of Franny is hilarious! I read the whole thing in three days.
