This is a collection of original sculpture images and accompanying poems covering a wide range of topics, from literature and science, to art and history, to experience and emotion. The physical art forms and their verbal accompaniments are derivatives of the human head, its insides and outs. The sculptures are built with clay, kiln-fired, then brightly painted with acrylics, each one unique and one-of-a-kind. The poems rhyme because rhymes are a delight to produce and speak. The sculptures have been displayed in various local art shows and exhibits, always a few at a time. This book satisfies the artist/author's long-time desire to create a "traveling gallery," where the pieces can at last convey their existence with their poems and in the larger context of each other's company. The book is intended to stand on its own, as such, but it also serves as an "owner's manual" to accompany each of the sculptures as they continue to make their way out into the world.
