A Halloween tale and a warning not to go out tonight.

Jim Varney made a series of films based on his “milk commercial” character, “Ernest.” This series of “Ernest” movies is mostly slapstick humor with some “Varney” faces and resembles a live cartoon. This is considered one of the best of the series. The opening credits let us know what we are in for. How many of the spooky movie clips do you recognise? I have had the privilege of watching and reviewing nearly all of them. I am still alive. I think. In the town of Biarville, Ernest, in the process of building a tree house, accidentally lets loose Tranto the Troll (with a face that only a mother can love). Trantor may be from Keebler, likes to snack on children. Let the snacking begin. Oh, no worse than snacking is changing brats into wooden effigies for nefarious purposes. Talk about name recognition, the police station has a Dunkin Donuts box. Tranto, “You’re going to pay for the sins of your forefathers!”, Ernest, “I didn’t have four fathers.” Will Ernest be able to re-intangle the troll before all the children in the world become troll bait? Watch and see; if you dare. Next Halloween, if you are trolling for a good movie, this is the one.
