Disappointed

Let me preface this review by saying that I have not read this book yet. I am basing this review on the “good” rating I was provided regarding its condition. This book was a mess. The dust jacket was totally ripped up in numerous places. In addition, there was someone’s name written on the edges as well as inside the book in multiple places. Had I known the real condition, I would have never gotten it. I have gotten books with my rewards before, but they were never trashed like this one.

Story is good. Condition of my “acceptable hardcover” was not! No dust jacket which is fine although it would have been nice to know before hand. The spine paper is barely hanging on and will need to be glued down ASAP. I also bought book #2 and it’s “acceptable co diction” is great; dust jacket and a solid, nearly new book.

Read it when I was younger

My parents read this to me when I was a kid, just got a copy to read to my daughter. Came in better condition than I thought and has been a good experience reading to my daughter.

Not what I expected

This is my first time buying from this app and I’m a little disappointed. The book itself was in good condition but I was not aware it did not have the jacket which is what I’ve been looking for. I also do not have the option to return it so that’s a bummer.

Great story

There's a lot of great world building by the author, the story is so complex emotionally. Beautifully told and the book itself was in great condition

Was shipped to me quickly, so i was worried it would have been damaged in shipping but it looks great! Can't wait to start reading it.

My “Very Good” condition book was good. I LOVE this series. Keeps you on your feet and intrigued as Paolini introduces this new world of Dragons and their Riders

I ordered this book because I liked other books from this author. I am very glad I bought it because it is just the fantasy books I like.

Not what I expected!

Eragon was not what I expected! It has a very different tone than Percy Jackson, but it was super charming! It had way more of a focus on Eragon’s feelings and relationships with other people/Saphira than I expected. Just a classic hero story with lots of heart! Tbh it lost me in several places on the plot bc I was listening to it on audiobook and the plot was a bit generic, but the vibes were very good and heartwarming :3

An enjoyable story about a boy and his dragon

Quite possibly the best book I’ve read so far.

This is a fantastic book. It’s written so well that I felt like I was watching a movie in my head while I was reading.

The book is great, the condition was as expected.

These books getting better as you go. I recommend these to teenage readers.

Incredible

I first read Eragon about eight or so years ago. Since then, I have bought the entire Cycle (only four books, not nearly enough!) and re-read it many times and will be doing so again shortly. There are some minor flaws with the book, yes, but all is easily forgiven with a story like this. It is a well-written adventure with beautiful and poetic imagery that can easily stir the imagination and make you believe in magic. That being said, this book is an excellent way to expand you vocabulary. I definitely recommend the Inheritance Cycle to anyone, adults included! P.S.- If you're an adult considering purchasing the Cycle for an older child, I would say go for it. No sex scenes. Language is extremely minimal, so no worries about f-bombs or such. As far as violence goes, there are sword-fights galore and inclusions of death, dead bodies, and killings, but nothing nightmare inducing.

Los dos van al sur a encontrar los rebeldes del rey y piensan que ellos pueden ayudar. Ese libro es llenado de acción y misterio. Yo pienso que es uno de los mejores libros fantasías que yo ha leído. Nuca quiere parar de leer y cuando termino el libro yo estaba triste. Rápidamente yo busque el libro siguiente. Yo recomendó ese libro a cualquier persona que está buscando algo a leer. Ese libro va a dejar queriendo más.

A Great Young Person's Read

I have to say after reading some other's less-than-glowing reviews of this book that there is an important, crucial fact they have not seemed to take into consideration-- THIS IS A CHILDREN BOOK. This is not a book written for adults; even though certainly many, many adults have enjoyed it. It's also as certainly written quite as well or perhaps even better than your usual ripped bodice, Danielle Steele or Jacquelyn Suzanne. It is written for the older children-young adult bracket, ages 11 through 17 or thereabouts. I, for one, am grateful my 12 year old son had something as interesting as this to enjoy. It's vital that the kids read. So I say "Hooray for Eragon!"

well i liked it...

i know on here are more bad reviews then good ones but im halfway now and i admit that i really like this book and though it might not live up to lord of the rings. its still not that bad.
