Equipping the Saints: A Guide to Developing and Leading Adult Bible Classes

By Dave Laton

Equipping the Saints is a practical and biblically grounded guide for developing effective adult Bible classes that transform lives.

Teaching adults is far more than presenting information. It is helping people understand God's Word, apply biblical truth, and grow into mature disciples of Christ. Whether you are preparing to teach your very first class or have taught for many years, this book provides the biblical foundations and practical tools needed to become a more effective Bible teacher.

Drawing from Scripture, principles of adult education, and decades of experience in teaching and curriculum development, Dave Laton shows readers how to: Build Bible classes that lead to spiritual transformation rather than information alone.Understand how adults learn and why that matters in Bible teaching.Develop meaningful curriculum that addresses the real needs of learners.Design engaging lessons with clear objectives and practical application.Lead thoughtful discussions that encourage participation and growth.Create a welcoming learning environment where adults feel safe to ask questions and explore God's Word.Teach difficult and sensitive biblical topics with both truth and grace.Evaluate learning and encourage continued spiritual growth.
Rather than offering quick teaching tips, Equipping the Saints provides a complete framework for planning, organizing, teaching, and evaluating adult Bible classes. Every chapter includes practical applications that can be implemented immediately in local congregations, teacher training programs, leadership development, and personal study.
If your desire is to help adults move from simply knowing Scripture to faithfully living it, this book will equip you with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to teach God's Word with greater purpose and lasting impact.
