Equipping Churches and Apostolic Hubs: Moving Beyond the Pattern of an Antioch Equipping Church

There were a number of significant churches in the New Testament that were model churches and give us insight into the pattern for the end time Church. One was the Church in Antioch which was an equipping and sending church, the second was the Ephesian Church which had apostolic training hub that impacted the region.

From a very small group of believers in Ephesus the church stewarded great revival in the city, and the hub was able to take the gospel out to an estimated 8-15 million people through the region and establish the seven major churches in the book of revelation.

For those churches that are called to set up apostolic training hubs or to function as five-fold equipping churches, this book will provide insight into the pattern in the book of Acts so that we can begin to look afresh at how the Holy Spirit is calling us to become 'new wine skins' to accommodate the new wine in these last days.

The 'new wineskin' doesn't bend to the culture of its generation or adjust God's holy standards to accommodate it, but it does allow itself to be transformed into a new vessel to accommodate the new truths that God is restoring to His Church.
We must change if we are to reach this last day generation with the power of the gospel and bring them into a 'wineskin' that is able to disciple them, equip them, and give them purpose.

We must grasp this - there is a coming shift of emphasis by the Holy Spirit so that we begin to move from being driven to achieve church vision at the cost of values and integrity. Too many ministries, marriages, and families are sacrificed at the altar of ambition to achieve church growth.

God is calling the church back to a biblical foundation to equip the body of Christ with the character, integrity, wisdom, understanding, and authority to go out and make disciples to impact this generation.
