This book presents an experimental study of the physical, mechanical, and tribological behavior of a new class of polymer-based single-filler composites and hybrid filler composites. The main objective of the work is to explore the possibility of using waste generated from the Kota stone industry and thermal power plant as filler material in epoxy resin in order to develop a new class of composite bodies suitable for light-duty structural applications. The first part of the book provided a description of the material used, the method used for the fabrication of composites, details of experiments that are conducted during the work, and the different optimization techniques used for the conduction of experiments. The second part of the book presents the test results in regard to the physical, mechanical and tribological properties of epoxy filled with a single filler i.e. only Kota stone dust. The third and last part presents the test results in regard to the physical, mechanical and tribological properties of epoxy filled with hybrid fillers i.e. Kota stone dust in combination with fly ash.
