Epistles of Paul 2.0
Here we are in 2051, and nearly two thousand years after his first death, Paul of Tarsus has returned-and he has begun writing again.
Reborn as Paul Woods in Iowa City on December 11, 2026, Paul carried from childhood unexplained memories, fragments of Greek, vivid dreams of ancient places, and an unmistakable familiarity with passages written centuries before his birth. As those memories became clearer, he came to understand that he had once traveled through the Roman world, established Christian communities, and written the letters that became a central part of the New Testament.
Now, in 2051, Paul presents ten new epistles.
During his long absence, humanity has discovered the immense age of the universe, the evolution of life, the workings of the brain, and the extraordinary diversity of human cultures and spiritual traditions. Paul has also learned what became of Christianity-and what later generations did with his words.
He has seen personal counsel turned into universal commandments, belief elevated above experience, and religious institutions use his writings to justify division, inequality, persecution, and violence. He has therefore returned to clarify his intentions, correct his errors, and reconsider his teachings in light of everything humanity has learned.
These new letters address ten essential questions:
What is reality?
How should individuals behave?
What went wrong with religion?
Why do human beings divide themselves?
How does consciousness develop?
What does modern knowledge reveal about creation?
What happens after death?
What should leaders do?
How should communities be organized?
What is justice?
Paul writes about God, Jesus, salvation, judgment, rebirth, science, sexuality, religious intolerance, Christian nationalism, democracy, technology, economic inequality, guns, nuclear weapons, and the future of human civilization.
He now understands God not as a distant ruler separated from creation, but as the infinite creative consciousness present throughout creation and within every living being. Jesus revealed this unity with extraordinary completeness, but the divine reality he embodied is the birthright of all.
Epistles of Paul 2.0 is Paul's correction of the historical record and his message to a world whose knowledge has advanced more rapidly than its consciousness.
He has not returned to destroy faith-or to preserve it unchanged.
He has returned to help faith become alive again.
