Not in “very good” condition

When purchasing used books, I try to pick “very good” or “like new”. I purchased this book for my 3rd grader who struggles in math. It was very disappointing that almost every page was written on and several pages are missing. Under the description of “very good” it does not say to expect missing pages or write on pages. Very disappointed. Now trying to find another one after school has already started.
