It is important to implement prevention and control measures to reduce noise exposure, as well as to promote awareness and education about the harmful effects of noise on health and the environment. Noise pollution is a problem that can be addressed with the collaboration of all sectors of society, in order to achieve a better quality of life and a healthier and more sustainable environment.The following chapters are presented in this work: Fundamentals of noise pollution, environmental noise pollution control and a study of environmental noise measurements made with a low-cost electronic device based on Arduino technology (developed by Engineer Edward Mauricio Sanchez Galvis), in 12 strategic points of the central commune of the municipality of Bucaramanga Colombia, which is based on the data of the Environmental Engineer Benjy Larios.
