Environmental education

Over the last few decades, environmental education has emerged as a tool for sustainability in order to contribute to the new challenges posed by the development of productive forces, especially at the end of the 19th century, with the modernisation of agriculture and, above all, with the advance of industries with great polluting potential. Our work began with our research, which is a complementary part of our intervention at Semi-Edu 2015 - Education and its meanings in the digital world - Cuiab /MT. Our research sought to identify the perceptions of students on the Environmental Management course at the Federal Institute of Rond nia - IFRO - Colorado do Oeste Campus. Despite the importance of this preliminary publication, we believe there is a need to broaden our field of discussion in the context of the challenges of environmental education. It is necessary to problematise our field of work to the extent that it is capable of expressing a more in-depth analysis in order to deal with environmental education more authentically, and this presupposes that we go beyond academic reports and perceptions. In this sense, our work has endeavoured to carry out a discussion from a holistic viewpoint
