Environmental awareness

This work aims to understand stakeholders' perceptions of how environmental awareness can contribute to eliminating waste and expanding actions in favour of the environment, and for practical application, it also aims to solve specific problems, in this case waste and incorrect disposal. Its aim is to verify the important factors for developing a sustainable management system, from the point of view and experience of stakeholders in the public health sector, in order to add value to the organisation. The work was carried out by means of a case study, qualitative and exploratory interviews, and data was collected using a questionnaire addressed to 25 stakeholders. The main findings were that civil servants and users were unaware of the subject and that there was a lack of incentive. In view of the above, it is recommended that standards be established for government bodies to implement a sustainable management system in order to optimise the resources used and raise awareness. To this end, organisations should encourage environmental awareness among the population and keep the environment healthy.
