Having found love, Bernard Pringle and Ghislaine Sharma get married in rural Australia. Their daughter Janice was born only thirteen months later, ensuring their lives felt perfect. That idea quickly turns to anguish with the abduction of their seven-month-old daughter. With no police leads, a private search is started. After more than three years, the truth of who abducted Janice is discovered, and the Pringles have hope of finding their daughter reinstalled in their lives. Unfortunately, due to corruption in the Mexican police force, the Mexican investigator is left scratching his head. Can Janice be found, and would she even want to be? After more changes in her life and with a strong personality, would she even want to be dragged away from the only life she remembers, but not appreciate completely?
