Beware the New Age

This is a very good book written by Sharon Beekman that trusted the "spirit guides" that promised her fulfillment. By the time she discovered their frightening, true identity, it was too late-they had taken control of her mind...tormenting her, attacking her sanity, pushing her to the brink of suicide. But in her darkest hour, Sharon discovered a Savior, Jesus Christ, who is powerful enough to free her from the evil that threatened to destroy her. This book is a revealing look at New Age practices and the dangers involved. I really enjoyed this book and I could relate to some of the things in it, as I also had tried some of the New Age teachings, with their empty promises. This is a remarkable testimony to the liberating power of Jesus.

This phenomena is real!

I would have an extremely hard time believing this story if it were not for a spiritualist whom my aunt visits. This spiritualist also has voices talking to her inside of her head, which I would attribute to insanity or obsession, except that these "voices" are able to discern information about our family that is not otherwise available. They seem to be extremely accurate in identifying the deep dark sins of the family, which to me is evidence of their demonic origin. The spiritualist was also able to describe my aunt's comforter in great detail, and she had never been to the house. So I am very convinced that the spirit channeling described in this book is indeed possible. I am also convinced that Jesus Christ is the only way to be freed from it, but nobody wants to hear that these days.

Sharon sheds light of truth on the new age

Sharons story is a great example of what can happen to people involved in the new age. Personally I've seen people that has ended up in psychiatric care after newagecourses and some of those led by a woman that claimed she knew how to distingush between the dark, the false and the light, the truth energies. It looked like she did but there are many forces out there, it's not easy to tell them apart and they can put up quite a show with many mindgames to get us to trust them. Sharon's book is a must read to educate people about this. It's so easy to be fooled and misled.

Brilliant, On-the-mark Look at New Age

Sharon Beekman provides a clear view of the subtle and seductive dangers involved in New Age practices. Her honest description of how and why she became involved in the New Age, as well as her both positive and negative experiences echo those of others who have sought the seemingly refreshing alternatives offered by the various aspects of New Age. She unflinchingly examines her own mindset both at the time of her involvement and during the tormented years she spent trying to free herself from the attack of spiritual forces conjured by her association. Ultimately, she comes to recognize the one, true path to freedom and enlightenment and shares how her life has changed in the decade since she made this discovery. As someone with personal experience of the hidden dangers of the New Age, I applaud Sharon Beekman's courage and faith as she takes an increasingly unpopular stand against the growing New Age movement.
