Enoch Mgijima was a prophet who established the Church of God and Saints of Christ congregation (IBandla likaThixo neeNgcwele zikaKristu) in Afrika. His prophecies and preaching attracted a large number of people who came from all corners of South Africa to gather in the Ntabelanga Village. The government of the time accused Enoch and his followers of contravening the land laws and ordered that those who didn't belong to Ntabelanga go back to their places of origin. The delays in the execution of the instructions was perceived as protest and the then government shot and killed around 200 defenseless worshippers on 24 May 1921, the brutal killings which were later referred to as Bulhoek Massacre.
