In PSALM 4:1 "Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer."INTRODUCTION: Why do God's people surfer and sinners prosper? This question has been asked by children of God from one generation to the other. David asked the same question himself. From this course you will understand why God allows His children to go through a season of distress or affliction.GOD is not the originator of distress and affliction of our lives, He however in accordance with the pleasure of his will permissively allows us to experience distress and afflictions, in other for him to achieve one purpose "Enlargement."The season of distress can be a season of great contradictions. A season when we experience things that are completely opposite to the promises of God; a season of theological crisis, when things work contrary to what we used to know and believe about God and His word. A time when God decides to be silent; a time He hides His face from us for a season.Job puts it this way in Job 23:8-9. "Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him: On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him: "This highly leadership course attempts to study the different ways in which GOD achieves this aim of His, which is enlargement of the heart. An enlarged man is he who has experienced such on the inside of him. No wonder John the beloved said in 3John 2, that above all, that he wishes, that our soul will experience prosperity even as we see prosperity physically. The concept of soul prosperity is the object of enlargement in distress.
