And what is a recorder without this book?
As with many who come to this review, I, too, learned decades ago from this book. Luckily, my evil, cruel stepmother forced me to learn several instruments (paid for the lessons) and other arts. This is one of the few skills I still carry with me.
If you missed out on this experience, it is never too late. The book is very comprehensive and shows how to finger the instrument, what the various parts are called, and much more that you do not get in just sheet music. I suppose that is why the title is “Enjoy Your Recorder.”
Be sure to accidentally leave it on the coffee table. Maybe someone will ask for a recital. (Captive audience)
