English and Welsh Terriers

By J. Maxtee

The terriers of England and Wales were bred for grit - to bolt the fox, kill the rat, and stand no nonsense. J. Maxtee's practical handbook is a working fancier's guide to these hardy breeds.

Drawn from Maxtee's British Terriers (1909), English and Welsh Terriers gathers the English and Welsh breeds into a single practical volume, covering their breeding, kennel management, and preparation for show or work. It is a clear, no-nonsense guide from an age when the terrier earned its keep in the field as much as on the bench.
