As a registered engineer with 35 years in the sign industry, I find Dr. Jones book to be without equal within the industry. Taking a complex subject and reducing it to understandable concepts, he has contributed greatly to improved safety and functionality for sign builders and sign users. This text would also be excellent for any design or structural engineer in that it approaches some unique design difficulties with a simple, yet effective approach to engineering. The accompanying spreadsheets which are offered on-line for downloading help the reader to master the concepts presented.
