ONLY ONE WORD FOR IT - LUSTY!

Although I can't believe any REAL covert agent would take the time to have sex in the middle of an OP. The adrenaline of self-preservation would pose a strong deterent. The action was great - the characters also excellent - the villians just a bit threatening - loved the blow-up with Betty - most excellent plot - the sex was just a bit over-done but the passion was there to be felt. I was just a bit suspecious of Jules but could understand his conversation [as such] with Clive. I liked the way Rio's and Sass's past unintentionly touched each other. If only. . . . Never did find out how the virus was handled for sure. And Ellis sure sneaked out from under the trouble brewing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - except for all the PMS - yeah, right! she should have ended up PG.

Fun Romantic Suspense

This was a fun, romantic suspense book with lots of action scenes and two people who really don't want to get romantic with each other but do. Recommended for those who like suspense and spy books, but also like romance.

Kansas "Sass" Hawthorne is a highly trained, professional thief who works for the FBI. Sass works alone, and she likes it that way. Her past plays a large part in her preference for solitary missions. Her mother and sister died in an explosion when she was growing up, and her father has been in jail for years. She refuses to risk losing anyone else. What's her solution? Sass won't let anyone get close - not professionally, and not personally. She makes a partial exception for Jules Mannheim. He's not just her boss; he's the man who took her in when she lost everyone else in her life. Now Jules is asking her to make another exception. He wants her to go undercover with another agent. Stewart Rio also works for the FBI, although he's not in the same division as Sass. Intellectually, he knows that agents like Special Agent Hawthorne play important roles in the agency, but he has a strong aversion to thieves. And now his boss wants him to work with one? Stewart has been in charge of the Miles Dawson case for a long time. His team has worked hard, and he doesn't want some special agent from Covert Ops to waltz in and take over his case. Especially not Kansas Hawthorne! Stewart is a by-the-book kind of agent. He doesn't need to work with a maverick like Sass. Sass isn't any happier about the prospect of working with stuffy, unimaginative Stewart Rio. She plans each mission in excruciating detail. She goes in, meets her objective, and gets out. A partner throws in too many variables, and Sass doesn't like unknowns. But the Miles Dawson case is too important for either agent to take lightly. It will be dangerous and it will be difficult, but going deep undercover together is their best chance to take him down. Sass and Stewart are posing as a married couple and their cover has to be impenetrable. There will be no privacy. On the plus side, there's no need to fake the chemistry between them. But will their act be convincing enough to keep them alive? Will they find the evidence they need to put Miles Dawson away permanently? And what will happen between them when their mission is complete? ENEMY HUSBAND is the kind of story that really gets your adrenaline flowing. It's action packed and sizzling hot, with some intensely emotional moments. Stewart and Sass both have plenty of reasons to want to take Miles Dawson down for good and some of them are personal. Both can trace traumatic events that were turning points in their lives back to this one despicable man. I hoped they would not only end his reign of terror, but also recover from the damage he caused in both of their lives and emerge stronger than ever. I also hoped they would learn to love and trust again. Most of all, I hoped they wouldn't simply go their separate ways once the assignment was complete. Very highly recommended!
