The only reason he came back was for his boys so he knows he has to lay low and he's ready to stay put to protect his family. Of course, nothing in Dale's life ever goes as planned. That note he found is what persuades him to make a tough decision when he's left with no other options. Hopefully, it will be the good luck charm that saves his life.
