Book Overview

The fabulously suspenseful and "smashing" (The New York Times Book Review) final novel in the Bill Hodges trilogy from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Mr. Mercedes and Finders Keepers

For nearly six years, in Room 217 of the Lakes Region Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic, Brady Hartsfield has been in a persistent vegetative state. A complete recovery seems unlikely for the insane perpetrator of the "Mercedes Massacre," in which eight people were killed and many more maimed for life. But behind the vacant stare, Brady is very much awake and aware, having been pumped full of experimental drugs...scheming, biding his time as he trains himself to take full advantage of the deadly new powers that allow him to wreak unimaginable havoc without ever leaving his hospital room. Brady Hartsfield is about to embark on a new reign of terror against thousands of innocents, hell-bent on taking revenge against anyone who crossed his path--with retired police detective Bill Hodges at the very top of that long list....

Intriguing

I like how the story continues last book and how they caught the the killer and all the other techy stuff that goes along in his book

A fitting end for the trilogy

With this book finished, I can't help but feel like Finders Keepers didn't fit in as well as Mr Mercedes and this book. It was definitely a slower read than this one and the first one. But digress. End of Watch is our final case with our beloved ret-det, K. William Hodges. It definitely caught my attention quickly and held it thoroughly. There's no lull in the story where you feel you can take a break, which was good for everything except my sleep schedule lol. This story closes up pretty much all the questions left behind from Mr. Mercedes nicely and very clearly, in a manner of speaking. One thing I will always give SK credit for, is his ability to create and build characters that not only stay with you, but leave their mark on you too. Hodges, Holly, and Jerome are three of those characters that'll live in my head for a very long time I think. I give this book 5 of 5 Paws.

heart wrenching

I didn't expect to enjoy this book as much as I did.
