Another exceptional release from Universal

This is how an exclusive studio should do it. The picture quality is great throughout, with great depth, excellent shadow detail and solid blacks; the colors are also spot on. Where this title really excels is in the audio department. The TrueHD lossless track is absolute reference quality. This title is worth the purchase for the aural experience alone. The extras are decent, most likely a port of everything that was on the normal dvd release, and the movie is a very fun "bad" movie. All in all a great disk that is well worth the money.

Action packed and horrific !

An excellent movie! The best blend of action/horror I've seen to date. Sure, some people will try to nick pick certain details, and complain endlessly about this and that, but overall this was the most entertaining movie of 1999. Sure we all realize now that the panic over the Y2K bug and any prophetic fears were silly, but you need to look past all those things to really appreciate this film. Basically, it's a horrifying thriller, packed with great action sequences. Yes, I realize many negative reviews are regarding "Arnold" vs "The Devil", and yes, that does sound silly, but how about Arnold vs the mafia/military (Commando), Arnold vs a technologically advanced alien (Predator), or Arnold vs the "System" (Total Recall) & (The Running Man) etc. The way to sum it up is to basically say, "All great Arnold movies ARE far fetched" That is WHY they are MOVIES. They are NOT supposed to be realistic, but an escape from reality. Enough with the negative reviews for being far-fetched. That is why the largest percentage of us WATCH movies. To escape! Once again, this is an EXCELLENT film. Do not take it too seriously, but then again, do not take any Arnold action flick seriously, or get your head examined.

A Comeback For Arnold!

This is the first movie Arnold released after his heart surgery. End of Days will take your breathe away and leave you at the edge of your seat. Get ready for high speed action and thrills! This is one of the best action movies Arnold has ever made. If you loved Eraser and True Lies, then End of Days is the movie to buy and watch over and over. 5 Stars all the way!

One Of Arnold's Better Movies

Behind the films Schwarzenegger has done with direcor James Cameron(Terminator, Terminator 2, True Lies) this is Arnold's best action film. My only complaint about the movie is a pointless sex scene, but other than that this film has action, special effects, even laughs. Schwarzenegger turns in arguably his best performance in this movie, instead of killing a hundred people and walking away unscaved his character is scarred and sad. He also has lots of dialouge which makes his performance even better. I don't understand why this wasn't a big hit, it should have been.

AWSOME!

End Of Days is and extremly excellent film. Arnold Schwarzenengger is great. And so is Gabriel Burne as the devil. The story centers around the last few days of the millenium in New York City. The devil has selected a certain wife and has come to NYC three days before 2000 to take over the world at the beginning of the new millienum. Arnold plays an cop who is trying to stop the devil. This movie blew me away! I can't beleive how they turnes L.A. to NYC in winter! Some shots were obniously from NYC but I think the streets of NYC were shot in L.A. A very good movie. I cannot wait to buy it on DVD!
