Good resource

This is a good reference book for checking on what Egyptologists have decided on as "real" history.

Awesome!

This is a great book! Though it doesn't cover everything, what one book could contain that?, it gives enough information and is told in such a way that any layman could enjoy and understand. If you have a history buff in your family, this is definitly something to look into.

I adore this book!

It's a terrific overview of many, many different cultures and religious systems. Note that I said overview--no one book can go in-depth in each and every culture's myths and traditions. There is still quite a lot of information here and gorgeous photos, too. It weighs about half a ton and is definitely worth lugging around.
