This is a great book on how to confront those addictions or habits that are negative. In the book I think the gist of confronting those addictions or habits is the truth and being honest with yourself and actually wanting to change. Mr. Villegas goes into depth about how addictions or habits are formed and simple approaches to overcome them. The book is written in plain language no fancy wording, you just understand it! It was a real page turner. As I read I kept wanting to read on. There are even issues in his life of is old habits and addictions and what he did to overcome them. I highly recommend this book.

This author told it like it is from start to finish. During our human existence on this earth our minds are so clouded and off track that we as humans can't function. Jose is right in saying that honesty is the key to opening up the prison of our minds and clearing it out. I've read books on psychology and even Dianetics by L. Ron Hubbard. But Emotional Prisoner is better than those I've read on the mind and spirit so far. If read and comprehended, it will set your life in order!!!

I bought this book when the author spoke at my dorm at Shepherd College and his story sounded interesting. This man has gone through so much but he was able to turn his life around. This book is an inspiration to all people be it the one who has gone through the problems that Jose has or someone like me that might struggle with a problem every now and then. Jose is just a regular guy and he explains our problems in regular language. Sometimes the grammor is a little messed up but it doesn't take away from the purpose of this book and I recomend it to everybody.
