Emma by Jane Austen is a novel about a wealthy, intelligent, and charming young woman named Emma Woodhouse, who lives in the English village of Highbury. Confident in her matchmaking abilities, Emma meddles in the romantic lives of her friends, particularly Harriet Smith, often causing confusion and misunderstandings. Despite her good intentions, her interference leads to several emotional mix-ups. Over time, Emma matures, realizes her own faults, and discovers that she loves her long-time friend and advisor, Mr. Knightley. The novel explores themes of love, social class, self-awareness, and personal growth.
