Founded in 1984 by Rudy VanderLans and Zuzana Licko, Emigre is the first name in digital fonts. Under the couple's creative direction, letterforms do more than make words: they are also building blocks for eye-grabbing computational patterns. As two Bay Area bastions of typography, Emigre and Letterform Archive have a long-standing relationship. Now, Letterform Archive has commissioned Zuzana Licko to create 16 pieces of original digital artwork made from her popular typefaces such as Tangly, Puzzler and Lo-Res Outlined.
