Poetry is a way to express our emotions, thoughts, and feelings, and for me, poetry is a coping mechanism. emergence is a collection of poems that I've written throughout my life, including updated drafts of some of the first poems I've ever written. Life is complex and composed of both good and bad moments, but that doesn't mean that either negate the other. These are poems about me trying to find my place in the world, dealing with loneliness, anxiety, and depression, as well as the simple joys that can be found in life. I hope, through this collection, you will know that you are not alone and it will encourage you to start having conversations with others. When you start talking about what you're struggling with, it does get easier.
