This tale of deceit embodies the fashion and theater scenes of the 50s to 70s. When family ties are shattered by murder, Beth runs from her Michigan life of fashion to Los Angeles, where she meets Phil Bowman at a play audition and new love blossoms. As Beth navigates through starting a new relationship, she must face her past to be free. Through the chaos, Bess, her only daughter, experiences trauma of love lost in the aftermath of a murder conviction. Beth and Bess are torn between family drama, the new lives they so desperately want, and secrets hidden.
Margo Ellen Leonard was born in 1941. Mom wrote this novel, being inspired after my first full novel, Mercy Undercover, in 1993. After all, she was the artistic one. She could draw, decorate cakes, and crochet dolls, which she did for family, friends, and as a side business. So, why not try her hand at writing? After her stroke in 2005, she didn't remember writing Embrace the Dawn To Live Again, which was originally two separate manuscripts. This is for her Legacy as an artist, a mother, and a wife of 60 years. Rest in Heaven, February 6th, 2020.
