From evening gowns and jeans to cushions, beads add interest, texture, and movement anywhere. Add them to anything, with the techniques and ideas displayed in this full-color guide. The beautiful photographs are inspiring. "[A] welcome addition...This is a book of techniques, such as making fringes or stitching beads to fabric, and includes the use of sequins, rhinestones, and shisha mirrors....[A] good addition to public library craft collections."- Library Journal.
After reviewing every book I could find, both in bookshops and online, I purchased this book. It contains more than just instructions on beading. It covers the handling of different fabrics, the manner in which beads should be attached, the way beading effects the fabric and the different way large and small beads have to be used to achieve the effect I want in a scarf or article of clothing. The beading patterns were many and the instructions clear with hand drawn pictures for each step. Packed with information, ideas, and lots of pictures for each section this is the book for me. I think this book would be a good addition to any resource library.
