Eliminating Weapons from Our Planet: Toward a Post-Transhumanist Civilization
A CONCRETE PROJECT TO MAKE VIOLENCE OBSOLETE
Why, even while knowing the cost of war, do we continue to build instruments capable of destroying us?
A weapon is never just an object. It is a response to fear, a promise of protection, a market, a factory, a paycheck, a structure of power. To destroy it without transforming what makes it necessary is simply to prepare for its return.
The radical thesis at the heart of this book is that no structure of domination disappears until the function that legitimizes it is performed better by something else, and that no one disarms before feeling protected.
From nuclear deterrence to lobbying, from the reconversion of armies to labor economically dependent on war, from artificial intelligence to oil, from animal liberation to knowledge as a common good, this book traces the deep roots of a civilization organized around threat and points toward a concrete way out.
This is how the Science of Civil Liberation takes shape: a discipline that measures the coercive cost of every institution and shows how to reduce it without losing essential functions, together with a seven-step protocol:
SEE - MEASURE - PROTECT - SUBSTITUTE
CONVERT - DISTRIBUTE - RENDER OBSOLETE
A method that does not promise utopias, but turns transition into a verifiable step-by-step process, where each phase can be corrected whenever liberation stalls.
"The future begins when what kept us alive
stops preventing us from breathing."
Eliminating Weapons from Our Planet is not a consoling utopia. It is the political, technological, and evolutionary project of a civilization capable of protecting without dominating, producing without coercing, and innovating without turning knowledge into power over the existence of others.
