Cough is a natural reflex. In cough naturally much powerful expiration occurs. So bedside technique to elicit cough is much useful to detect wheeze.. Importance to elicit coughing reflex at bedside of the Pediatric patients during clinical examination is to detect Wheeze. Wheeze is an important clinical finding where one of the cause may be Asthma. Using this technique if the doctor can detect the early Wheeze even when a Stethoscope cannot pick it up, then my new contribution will be fruitful.
