The world is dying; humans are choking the life from the planet. It's been 1500 years since the Coalition of Mages shut the portal. They cut off half of the world claiming the magics were not worth the trouble they were causing. Hoping to give man a better chance to rule. Since then man has spread like a disease without the spiritual and magical to hold balance man has flourished and populated every inch of the remaining world. Advances in science and industry improving all the while killing the earth and the creatures left in it. Eli is the last descendant of the Mage who's blood sealed the portal. In her blood the last traces of magic lives, power enough to crack the wards and reopen the portal. She however is a normal twenty two year old that knows none of this and believes magic is just a story. Raised in nowhere Arkansas she has gone unnoticed by the forces that want to tear down the portal at any cost. But the planets are aligning; the time is upon the world. And Eli has no place to hide.
