Elfwood is the first book I can remember reading as a child. I read it in one day, because I simply couldn't put it down. It started my love of reading. Its a wonderful tale of fantasy with colorful characters, slight humor, and an easy to follow plot. A+
Light, fun fantasy

While Elfwood is not particularly inspired or profound, it IS a lot of fun. The characters are splendid, lightly mocking those of traditional fantasy. At the same time, they do undergo realistic development. The plot moves along at a good pace with well-placed humor and there's never a dull moment. Perfect for summer reading! Unfortunately, the sequel by Kevin Stein fails to live up to Elfwood's standards.
Very good and magically creative.

I really liked this book. It leaves you wanting to read more about Castle Elfwood, but unfortunately I haven't found any other books in this series.
