It builds language by introducing your readers to vocabulary and accessing background knowledge about the topic. There is phonemic awareness practice with the specific phonics skill. Then, students practice the targeted phonics skill with word-level fluency, connected text, repeated reading, comprehension questions, spelling practice with sound-spelling boxes, and a dictation sentence. Students graph their progress, which increases motivation, and provides immediate feedback on their success. This program can also be used for interventions for first grade and up. The lessons are complete and ready to go, making them perfect for the classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and tutors.
