A Fine Book for Amatuer Players

It's a good book, and I liked it, but most of the tips on pet care are already in the instructions. I did, however, learn a few additional things. As the summary says, inexperienced players would find it interesting, while advanced players and experts can find better. It has examples of games you can play with friends in which virtual pets are involved, "How to Wear Your Pet in Style", charts, how throw a cyber toy party, and offers some solutions to a few problems, such what to do with your pet while in school.

Review of Electronic Pet Care by Tracey West

This book is an okay place to start if you want to read up on the subject of electronic pets. It contains why electronic pets were invented, how they came to America, and information on the two leading kinds, Tamagotchis and Giga Pets (Note: this book is several months old and only contains information on the original 5 Giga Pets and the first wave of Tamagotchi colors.) Throughout the book, it contains helpful hints on your pet's funtions, and other fun things you can do with pets and some friends, such as Life Races (how long you can keep a pet alive,) Pet Juggling (keeping 2 or more pets alive at one time,) and an electronic pet club, as well as others. The narrator of this book is "CyberGirl" who lives in cyberspace and all the pets we have in little cases here (Tamagotchis, etc,) are normal pets in cyberspace. Overall, this book is a good book for the rookie electronic pet caretaker. If you are experienced, don't bother reading it unless you just want some good literature.
